Ayni turns trusted Earth and space datasets into guided experiences — on a room-scale LED sphere, on the classroom displays schools already own, and as an in-room globe now in private preview.

The Ayni family

Choose the experience that fits the room.

All three share one content model: traceable sources, curated context, and interaction with a purpose. They differ in hardware, in how you deploy them, and in how far along they are — so each one carries its stage on the label.

Make Earth data the centre of the room.

A spherical LED display, multi-layer Earth-data rendering and presenter control, working together as one facilitated public-science experience.

Ayni 2D

Turn planetary data into a lesson you can teach.

Earth, climate, ocean and space data on the displays a school already owns — with the lesson built around the data, not bolted on afterwards.

76 lesson sequences, grades 6–12 Each one opens with a driving question, runs about 45 minutes, and ships with a teacher guide.

Standards listed per lesson Every sequence names the NGSS performance expectations and CCSS literacy standards it addresses. We do not claim certification or state-wide alignment.

Spain adaptation under way ESO and Bachillerato sequences are being built with native reviewers. We are looking for design-partner schools.
What a pilot covers, and what it does not. Lessons play from local content, so an unreliable classroom network does not stop a class. Live data feeds are a separate option with their own network requirements.

Ayni AR / VR

Two ways to put the data in the room.

Immersive Ayni is a research programme, not a shipped product. Two directions are open and they are at very different stages. We would rather tell you which is which.

A globe in the room

A globe placed in the viewer's own space, loading selected Ayni datasets, delivered through the browser rather than an app store. Demonstrated with delegates at the IHO Assembly and running now with invited testers. Device support, performance and learning value are still being measured, and none of them is promised.

Concept

Layers around the sphere

Content that appears around a physical Ayni 3D sphere for a visitor holding a phone. This is an early concept. We are not making claims about how it will work, when it will exist, or whether it will ship.

One rule holds for all of it. Every immersive story will have an equivalent route that needs no headset and no phone. If a person cannot or does not want to put a device on, they still get the whole lesson.

Content and interpretation

Provenance before spectacle.

A striking image nobody can trace is not science communication. Every dataset in Ayni arrives with where it came from, when it was updated, and why it is in the lesson — and the sphere carries the legend and the date while it plays.

What we do and do not claim

The science belongs to the people who made it.

Datasets are attributed individually and used under their own terms. Ayni does not claim ownership of the underlying science, and does not present a curated selection as a complete catalogue of anyone's archive.

Kiosk mode

Unattended walk-up operation for galleries and lobbies. Close to release; shown in a demo before it is sold.

Interpretation layer

A way for a visitor to ask what they are looking at and get an answer grounded in the dataset on screen. Design stage. Not part of any release, and we are not giving it a date.

Spain curriculum

ESO and Bachillerato sequences with native reviewers. Not claimed as aligned until those reviewers sign it off.
